Start your free trial

This article explains how free trials work in AlignEat and how to start one if you are eligible. Who can get a free trial Not everyone sees a trial offer. The app checks your eligibility automatically before showing you any trial details. Eligibility is determined by the App Store or Google Play based on your account history with that store. If you are eligible, the trial offer appears on the subscription screen when you go to upgrade. What happens during a trial During the trial period you get full premium access, including unlimited scans. The app shows you when the trial ends and how many days remain, so you always know where you stand. When the trial ends, your subscription automatically continues at the regular price unless you cancel before the trial period is up. How to start a trial 1. Open the subscription screen in the app. 2. If a trial is available to you, it will be shown alongside the plan options. 3. Select the plan with the trial offer. 4. Review the terms shown at checkout, including the price that applies after the trial. 5. Confirm through the App Store or Google Play. Good to know - If no trial is shown, your account is not currently eligible through your app store account. - You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Cancellation is done in your app store account settings, not inside AlignEat. - Scan results help you navigate menus, but always confirm your order with restaurant staff to stay safe. Plans and seats: solo, couples, and family

This article explains the different plan options so you can choose the one that fits your household. Plan options AlignEat offers four plans based on how many people need premium access: - Solo covers 1 person. - Couples covers 2 people. - Family Small covers up to 5 people. - Family Large covers up to 10 people. Each seat lets one person sign in and use premium features, including unlimited scans. Apple Family Sharing If you subscribe on an Apple device, family members who join through Apple Family Sharing can get access without needing a separate purchase. This uses the seats included in your plan. Members accept the share through the standard Apple Family Sharing process. Billing cycle You can pay monthly or yearly. Yearly billing usually shows a saving compared with paying month by month. The exact price for each plan and cycle is shown at checkout before you confirm anything. Changing your plan If your household grows, you can upgrade to a larger plan from your app store account settings. Changes take effect according to the app store's upgrade and proration rules. Good to know - The plan you choose applies to accounts that are linked together, not to separate unlinked accounts. - Each person in the plan should sign in with their own account so their dietary profile and scan history stay separate. - When scanning for someone with allergies, always confirm ingredients with restaurant staff before ordering. Restore your purchases

This article explains how to restore a subscription you already paid for after reinstalling the app or switching to a new device. When to restore purchases Your subscription is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, not to a specific device. If you: - reinstall AlignEat, - switch to a new phone, or - sign in on a second device, the app may not show your premium status right away. Restoring purchases tells the app to check your store account and reactivate your access. How to restore 1. Open AlignEat and go to the subscription screen. 2. Tap Restore purchases. 3. The app contacts the App Store or Google Play and checks your purchase history. 4. If an active subscription is found, premium access is restored automatically. This takes only a few seconds. You do not need to buy anything again. If restore does not work Make sure you are signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you used when you first subscribed. Restoring from a different store account will not find your original purchase. If you are on the correct account and the restore still fails, check that your subscription has not expired or been cancelled. You can verify this in your app store account settings. Good to know - Restore purchases is for subscriptions you already paid for. It cannot apply a new subscription or extend a cancelled one. - If you bought a subscription on iOS, it can only be restored on an iOS device with the same Apple ID. - Contact support if you believe your subscription is active but the restore is not working. What codes are for Codes are special access keys that grant premium access without going through the standard checkout. If you received a code as part of a founder offer, beta program, or promotion, you can redeem it directly in the app. Who sees the redeem option The option to redeem a code appears for users who are not already on a premium plan. If you are currently on a paid subscription, the redeem option will not be shown because you already have premium access. How to redeem a code 1. Open AlignEat and go to the subscription screen. 2. Look for the Redeem a code option. 3. Enter your code exactly as it was given to you, including any capital letters or hyphens. 4. Tap redeem to apply it. Codes are case sensitive. - Check whether the code has an expiry date. Expired codes cannot be redeemed. - Confirm you are signed in to the account you intended to use. Codes cannot be transferred between accounts once redeemed. Good to know - Each code can typically only be redeemed once and by one account. - Redeeming a code does not affect any existing subscription you may have on another account. - If you have questions about a code you received, contact the team or program that issued it. Manage or cancel your subscription

This article explains how to manage or cancel your AlignEat subscription. Because purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play, changes are made in your app store account settings, not inside AlignEat. Where to manage your subscription AlignEat does not handle billing directly. Your subscription is managed by the store you used to buy it. On iPhone or iPad (Apple App Store): 1. Open the Settings app on your device. 2. Tap your name at the top to open your Apple Account. 3. Tap Subscriptions. 4. Find AlignEat in the list and tap it to see options including cancellation and renewal settings. On Android (Google Play): 1. Open the Google Play app. 2. Tap your profile icon and go to Payments and subscriptions. 3. Tap Subscriptions. 4. Find AlignEat and tap Manage. What happens when you cancel Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep premium access until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account moves to the free plan. You do not get a refund for the unused portion of a paid period. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google directly through their standard policies. Checking your status in AlignEat The subscription screen inside AlignEat shows your current plan status. It does not have cancel or billing controls, but it does confirm whether your premium access is active. Good to know - If you subscribed on iOS, you must cancel through Apple. Cancelling a Google Play subscription does not affect an iOS subscription, and vice versa. - If you are in a free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. - For billing disputes or refunds, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly.
