This article explains how free scan limits work and what happens when you reach yours.
How the limit works
Free accounts include a set number of scans. The app shows you how many free scans you have remaining. The exact number can change, so check the app for the current allowance.
Every time you scan a menu, one scan is used from your free allowance.
When you reach the limit
Once your free scans are used up, the app shows you a message letting you know. At that point you have two options:
- Wait for your allowance to reset. Free scans refresh over time. The app tells you when your next reset is due.
- Upgrade to premium. A premium plan gives you unlimited scans so you never have to wait. You can upgrade from the message screen or from the subscription screen in the app.
Upgrading to premium
- Tap the upgrade prompt or go to the subscription screen.
- Choose a plan (solo, couples, or family).
- Review the price at checkout.
- Confirm through the App Store or Google Play.
Good to know
- The free scan limit and reset period are shown in the app and may be updated from time to time.
- Guest scans (before you create an account) are counted separately and have their own limit.
- Scan results are a helpful guide, but always confirm ingredients and preparation with restaurant staff before ordering.
