This article explains what happens when you delete your AlignEat account and how to do it.
Before you delete
Deletion cannot be undone. Once your account is removed, your data is gone and cannot be restored. If you want a copy of anything, go to Privacy settings and export your data first.
What gets removed
When you delete your account, AlignEat removes or anonymizes:
- Your profile and dietary preferences
- Your scan history
- Your family members linked to your account
- Your group memberships
How to delete
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Tap Privacy.
- Tap the option to delete your account.
- Confirm when prompted.
The confirmation step is there so nothing is deleted by accident.
Good to know
- Export your data before you delete. This is the only way to keep a record of your scans and profile once the account is gone.
- If you just want to sign out or take a break, you do not need to delete. You can sign out and return any time.
- Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play. Deleting your AlignEat account does not automatically cancel a subscription. Cancel through the store to stop future charges.
