Export your data

This article explains how to download a copy of your personal data from AlignEat. How to export AlignEat gives you the right to take your data with you. You can request an export at any time from the Privacy section of your settings. Your export includes: - Your dietary profile (restrictions, allergens, and preferences) - Your scan history - Your support history Once you request an export, the app prepares your file and you can save it to your device. Good to know - Exporting your data does not delete anything. Your account and all your information stay exactly as they are. - If you are planning to delete your account, export your data first. Deletion cannot be undone. - Your export is a record of what AlignEat holds about you. It supports your right to data portability. Related: Delete your account, Sign out

Delete your account

This article explains what happens when you delete your AlignEat account and how to do it. Before you delete Deletion cannot be undone. Once your account is removed, your data is gone and cannot be restored. If you want a copy of anything, go to Privacy settings and export your data first. What gets removed When you delete your account, AlignEat removes or anonymizes: - Your profile and dietary preferences - Your scan history - Your family members linked to your account - Your group memberships How to delete 1. Open the app and go to Settings. 2. Tap Privacy. 3. Tap the option to delete your account. 4. Confirm when prompted. The confirmation step is there so nothing is deleted by accident. Good to know - Export your data before you delete. This is the only way to keep a record of your scans and profile once the account is gone. - If you just want to sign out or take a break, you do not need to delete. You can sign out and return any time. - Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play. Deleting your AlignEat account does not automatically cancel a subscription. Change your language, including Arabic and right to left

This article explains how to change the language used throughout the AlignEat app. Supported languages AlignEat supports multiple languages, including English and Arabic. When you switch to Arabic, the entire app layout flips to a right-to-left direction. All text, navigation, and menus adjust automatically. How to change your language 1. Open the app and go to Settings. 2. Tap Language. 3. Choose your preferred language from the list. Your choice is saved to your profile, so if you sign in on another device your language preference comes with you. Good to know - Switching languages takes effect immediately. You do not need to restart the app. - The right-to-left layout in Arabic applies to the full app, including menus, scan results, and the Diet ID card. - If the language you need is not listed, the app defaults to English. Notification settings

This article explains how to control the push notifications AlignEat sends you. Turn notifications on or off You can turn push notifications on or off at any time from the Notification Settings screen in the app. Turning them off stops all notifications from AlignEat. Adjust by category If you want more control, you can leave push notifications on and adjust your preferences by category. This lets you keep the alerts you find useful and turn off the ones you do not need. How to get there 1. Open the app and go to Settings. 2. Tap Notifications. 3. Use the toggles to turn notifications on or off overall, or adjust individual categories. Good to know - Your device also has its own notification permissions for each app. If you turned off AlignEat notifications at the device level, you will need to re-enable them in your device settings first. - Changes take effect straight away. No restart is needed. - Notifications do not affect how the app scans menus or stores your results. Appearance: light, dark, and reduced motion

This article explains how to change the visual appearance of AlignEat and what the Reduce Motion setting does. Color scheme You can choose from three options in Appearance settings: - Auto: the app follows your device's system setting and switches between light and dark automatically. - Light: the app always uses a light background. - Dark: the app always uses a dark background. Your choice is saved on your device. How to change it 1. Open the app and go to Settings. 2. Tap Appearance. 3. Select Auto, Light, or Dark. The change takes effect immediately. Reduce Motion AlignEat respects the Reduce Motion setting on your device. When Reduce Motion is turned on in your device's accessibility settings, the app shows a calmer, mostly static interface. Animations are minimized throughout. You do not set this inside AlignEat. It is controlled from your device's system accessibility settings (iOS: Settings, Accessibility, Motion; Android: Settings, Accessibility, Remove Animations). Good to know - Your color scheme choice is stored on the device, not your profile. If you sign in on a new device, you will need to set it again. - Reduce Motion is especially helpful if animations cause discomfort. - Dark mode does not affect scan results or any dietary information. Sign out

This article explains how to sign out of AlignEat and what happens when you do. How to sign out 1. Open the app and go to Settings. 2. Tap Sign out. 3. Confirm when prompted. The confirmation step is there to prevent accidental sign-outs. What happens when you sign out Signing out clears your session on the device. Your account, profile, and scan history are still safely stored and will be waiting when you sign back in. Guest users If you are using AlignEat as a guest, you stay in guest mode unless you actively sign out. Signing out as a guest ends your guest session. If you want to keep your data, create an account before signing out. Legal documents From the settings screen you can also read the legal documents included in the app: Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Medical Disclaimer, Safety Notes, and a summary of what data AlignEat collects. Good to know - Signing out does not delete your account or your data. - If you want to remove your data permanently, use the Delete your account option instead. - You can sign back in at any time with the same account details.
